About Ben Baily
For me, this is personal. I want to stand to be your candidate because this is home for me. I grew up in the constituency and wish to serve the communities I was raised in. I beleive that my connection to the area, as well as my campaigning experience, can help us beat the Conservatives and win East Hampshire in the next General Election.

Experience
I believe I have the campaigning experience to get us over the line. I worked for Tim Farron, recruiting 225 deliverers and 210 stakeboard sites in just 18 months. I worked as a regional manager for the Federal party, helping to elect 8MPs; including Richard Foord. I am the candidate who has the understanding of the required scale to win and the experience to back it up.
Energy
I have the energy and drive to run a successful campaign. For me it is personal, growing up here and fighting for the issues I know we all care about. From protecting our family bussinesses and farms, striving for affordable housing to saving our rivers and fighting for our NHS. I am up for the fight and I want to build the team to beat the Conservatives here next time.
Local Roots
I grew up in the village of Preston Candover, which is the new part of the constituency. I am proud to be from Hampshire and I want to represent the communities I grew up in and care passionately about. I went to school in both Preston Candover and Alton, cycled across our beautiful countryside every summer, caught the Watercress Line as well as fish at Meon Springs. This is my home, and I want to beat the Conservatives here and give our area the voice it has been missing for so long.

NHS
I am so proud of my partner who is an NHS doctor. I have seen through her a lot of the issues our NHS faces, from dental deserts to social care. I am extremely conserned about the proposed closure of the Rowan Ward at Petersfield Hospital.
Family Farms and Businesses
Our family business is in this area. I want protect our businesses across our constituency and encourage jobs and a stronger local economy.

River Quality
Like farmers are the custodians of our environemnt, fishermen are for our rivers. As a pssionate fly fisherman, I am deeply concerned about water companies' contempt for our precious rivers here in Hampshire. I want to give our rivers the voice they deserve and hold water companies to account.
Housing
As someone that has grown up in the area, it is so important that we keep young people in the area. That is why I want to ensure that our young people have the opportunity to buy houses in our beautiful area and that the right kind of houses are built.
